GeoSnap is operated by StanHattie LLC, based in Des Moines, Iowa. This policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your information.
2. Information We Collect
Photographers
- Account info: Name, email address, display name.
- Photo metadata: GPS coordinates, timestamps, and camera information extracted from uploaded photos. This is core to our service.
- Earnings data: Sales history and payout records.
Buyers
- Purchase info: Email address and name provided at checkout (processed by Stripe).
- Payment data: Handled entirely by Stripe. We never see or store credit card numbers.
All Users
- Browser location: Only if you grant permission, used to center the map on your location. Never stored.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To operate the marketplace (display photos, process purchases, pay photographers).
- To display photo locations on the map.
- To communicate about your account or purchases.
4. What We Don't Do
- We do not sell your personal information.
- We do not use Google Analytics or third-party tracking.
- We do not store payment card data.
- We do not share your data with advertisers.
5. GPS Data
GPS coordinates in uploaded photos are a core feature of GeoSnap. By uploading a photo, you consent to the GPS coordinates being displayed publicly on the map marketplace. The exact coordinates are displayed at the precision provided by your camera/phone. If you do not want a photo's location to be public, do not upload it.
6. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored on servers in the United States (Railway, Backblaze B2). We use HTTPS encryption for all data in transit and follow security best practices for data at rest.
7. Your Rights
You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us. Photographers can remove their photos at any time through their dashboard.
8. Children
GeoSnap is not intended for users under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.
